Data Deletion Instructions

This page describes how to delete your data from Provara AI. We comply with GDPR Article 17 (right to erasure), CCPA delete requests, and platform requirements from Meta, Google, Shopify, and TikTok.

Option 1 — Self-service from your account

The fastest path:

  • Sign in to your account at app.provaraai.com
  • Go to Settings → Account
  • Click Delete account and confirm
  • We schedule deletion within 24 hours and complete it within 60 days. OAuth tokens are revoked at the platform side immediately.

Option 2 — Disconnect a single platform

If you only want to remove data from one platform (e.g., Meta) but keep your account otherwise:

  • Go to Integrations
  • Click Disconnect on the platform you want to remove
  • We revoke the OAuth token and stop syncing. The platform-specific data already in our database is deleted within 60 days.

Option 3 — Email request

If you cannot access your account or want to delete specific data without deleting the whole account, email support@provaraai.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include:

  • The email address associated with your Provara account
  • The workspace name (if you remember it)
  • What you want deleted (whole account, a specific integration, etc.)
  • For verification: the last 4 digits of the payment method on file, or any other information that helps us confirm you own the account

We respond within 5 business days and complete deletion within 30 days of the verified request.

What happens when data is deleted

  • OAuth tokens are revoked at the platform's side (Meta, Google, TikTok, Shopify) so we lose ongoing access immediately.
  • Raw platform data, structured data (orders, campaigns), generated recommendations, and your account record are permanently deleted from our database within 60 days.
  • Backups containing your data are overwritten on a 60-day cycle, after which deletion is guaranteed across all storage tiers.
  • Anonymized aggregate metrics (e.g., total signups by month) may be retained indefinitely for product analytics. These contain no personal data and cannot be re-associated with you.
  • Billing records (invoices, payment history) are retained for 7 years per US tax law, but are isolated from the product database.
  • Audit log entries for actions taken by Provara staff against your account are retained for accountability — these record who did what when, not your raw data.

Platform-specific notes

Shopify

On disconnect, we honor the customers/redact, shop/redact, and customers/data_requestwebhooks per Shopify's app developer requirements. If you uninstall the app from Shopify directly, the same deletion process triggers automatically.

Meta (Facebook / Instagram)

You can also disconnect Provara from your Meta side at Facebook Settings → Business Integrations. This revokes our access immediately. Use this option if you cannot reach Provara for any reason.

Google

You can revoke our access at Google Account → Security → Third-party apps with account access.

TikTok

Disconnect from your TikTok Business Center under Assets → Connected partners.
